you can hide the forum without any plugins,

when you created the forum and by the Forum is Active just select No that forum will disappear in the main forum page.

Ok it?s true but if you don?t see the last post and number of messges like you see in here on vb.org.

you can hide forum its easy in vb4 you go to

admincp >> Forums & Moderators >> Forum Manager >> [select a forum]
scroll down to Posting Options select Forum is Active

Select: No

thats it

no extra mods required
