Can a Style fix IE6?
Well VB is now gold and it seems as if the IE6 issues aren't getting any better.
Yes I know the rants, "why the heck are you using IE6 - get FF", however... Some of my users are logging on via corporate / government networks. These systems are locked to a baseline that only has IE6 and the users are not "admins" to install anything else. Therefore, it's not an option to upgrade or install anything else. So... Hence my question. Styles could flip colors around but would any effort on a style fix the IE6 display issues which I figure are related to the new css layout? Any word if VB is going to truly fix the IE6 display problems? An example could be the dropping of .png and making all icons .gif |

You should be able to make most image changes to gif without any major issues, but CSS changes would be more comprehensive. Consider looking around for some new skins, I'd imagine template developers would be keen to make a better cross-browser ranger now...
And I wouldn't hold your breath for them fixing IE6 issues, there's enough problems with the current designs to keep them busy a long time... |
