Can such kind of design be possible to have?
Dear all
When I was looking for a new system and found Vbulletin, I was allso looking at designs and skins. What I found and was totally in love with, was those: http://www.wpzoom.com/zenko/demo/ and http://wpzoom.com/magnet/demo/page/2/ and http://www.shape5.com/product_detail..._template.html Sadly for me, those designs are for Wordpress or Joomla, which systems I will never use because I really think they are too complicated to figuere out how they work. Therefore I did choose VB. But when Ive been looking at allready running VB websites, I only find Game sites, forumbased sites and even the carwebsites running VB are very Brand restricted websites who "only cares" for like one brand like Audi, Honda or something. My website is gonna be (as it is now), a place where we post carnews like www.worldcarfans.com or www.speedmotiv.com, which actully is very much a blog using system. But beside of that, we allso post videoes we create from shows, we post cartests and many other things. When they post news on theyr blog at Speedmotiv, the blog post has a gallery feature in the buttom. See ex:"http://speedmotiv.com/2009/12/21/view-rambling/gemballa-migu1" The gallery is added to a "complete gallery" too, where they show theyr pictures from all the posts at one place. See "http://speedmotiv.com/gallery/" <- Takes some time to load. 1)-Is this a feature we have or will it be made??? I seriously need something like it for all our picures! 2) What would you recomment me to do about the designs? |

Yes, such themes are possible. With enough time patience, you might be able to configure a grid that way and arrange the blocks in that fashion. With a little immagination it can be done. Saved for thought.
Also, having access to every template allows room for custom design using scripts and html |

It'll require extensive php modification as well as CSS knowledge but yes you can.

It should be ucking complicated because noone has wrote an article or post something in a forum on how to acomplish that.
I would really to know how to re-design completly a vb installation, but seems a bit impossible and no support also (beacause nobody knows how to do it). Prostr: In WP (which I came from) is one hour work change all the aspect. The only good thing I've find yet on VB is it works out of the box, but saqdly all the vb boxes seems the same |

The designs you have post are going to be pretty difficult with vbulletin 4.
I would recommend waiting for the new editor to be released before attempting such a feat. Upgrades tend to break styles. |
