Article SubFForum
I'm trying to set up an article submission forum, much like the one we have here on vb.org.
I have a main forum called "Articles and Resources" and inside, I have a subforum titled "Submit an Article" - now, the submit article forum works fine, users who post an article are the only ones that can see the article in the forum. The only problem is, the most recent post in that forum, the article submission forum shows on the main forum index as the latest posts. Users can simply click the last post button and be taken directly to the thread. How can I avoid this? thank you. |

It doesn't sound like you have the permissions set correctly if someone can click on the link and see the thread. Under Forum Permissions everything should be set to No except Can View Forum and Can Post Threads (and optionally other things that have Own Posts/Threads in the title).
