Below is some more information on this issue but bottom line, we have the arcade installed and over 600 games. Our users love it! We are working to add a tournament and ladder system as we are a gaming community. That system can not be installed and turned on due to an issue with the arcade prefix and/or tables. See below for info direct from the tech. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
It is a bit confusing..
I#ll try and explain it again.
The short answer is, if your VBulletun was initially created with a prefix (most people use vb_), which is an option when you install it, then there would be no problem.
The long answer, put simply, is that the ladder script has 52 tables and 2 of them conflict with your vbulleitn installation, i.e. two tables in the script and you vb installation are called exactly the same thing. This is a no go. The two tables concerned are 'adminlog' (no major inportance and we can manualy workaround that, though its a small pain) and 'tournaments', which as we both now know is an important part of a popular arcade mod.
Unfortunately, the tournament table is absolutely critical to the workings of the ladder script at its core as its not only used for when people play, join or view tournaments but is referenced on most pages and also on all profiles.
The easier and more possible solution is to modify the arcade mod.
Now, this is beyond our scope of understanding. Although we have that Mod on one of our sites, it is unaffected as the site has the vb_ prefix so we never even came across the arcade mod issue. (www.ps3multiplayer.com/forum/arcade.php and http://www.ps3multiplayer.com/forum/tournaments if you want to see it in action together.)
The only people who can guide you/us on sorting out an alternative way to work with this arcade mod are the people/developers who made that mod.
My thinking is that if they could tell the both of us a list of the files we would need to edit in order to rename the relevent arcade mod tables in the database then we can get this solved.
To explain this further....
The arcade mod, when being viewed, will take information from the 'tournament' table in the database. Now, if we can get inside that and instead of it looking for the 'tournament' table we can make it look for a table called 'vbtournament' then we can simply rename the table and its job done. The copmplication is what other files and tables need to be edited.
If you can get one of them to contact us then we can sort it between us.
