Default Mass-purging "ad bot" accounts.

Is there a feature or a mod that will let me mass-delete or mass-prune accounts that are created by scripts? A forum that I operate has a BUNCH of dead accounts like this that piled up before proper anti-bot plugins were installed so I was wondering if I could clean up the damage that was already done or if I'd have to delete them all by hand.

Thanks!

You'd be best hand-deleting them - it'd be a more secure method and it's less flawed.
Have you created these accounts yourself or are you referring to spam bots?

What criteria would the software use to tell that they are script-created accounts so they can be flagged for deletion? The software *can't* tell that. So, you are best to just do them yourself. (Or just leave them be.)

Well I was hoping there'd be a mod that could check for "tell tale" signs, like having an ICQ number as a contact, and a not-so-well-known email provider for the registration address.

But that's ok, I can run through and start hand picking them.

I wish this feature was available.

Every now and then I get spammed by someone who makes it past the security. In the last week, for example, I received 399 account requests that are in my moderation queue - ALL from the same email domain that has no other registered accounts.

I'd like to be able to delete them all at once, but can't seem to find any way to do so. To delete 399 accounts by hand, one at a time, takes a LONG time.

Hey Guys,
I own BeFit4Free.net and just recently received over 50,000 spam posts from TONS of different users. SPAM bots?

I need to figure out how to MASS DELETE all these posts. There are THOUSANDS. Can I delete all posts by specific addresses?

find one of the post then choose to delete the post as spam, it will delete all the post that account has made and you can then delete the account....

We've been testing our plug in which will have the feature to remove all posts and ban all users that we have in our database. Its still in beta, we've run it on a a couple forums and it banned over 50,000 spam users and removed over 110,000 posts on one of the forums.

Here's the plug in, but we haven't added that feature yet.. so its not going to help you today, but I'll keep you posted.
