Have user look online 24/7
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if I could alter an account which looks like it's on all the time. I tried to look around for a similar modification, but I didn't find anything I was looking for. Could I just edit the who's online template and add a user to stay on the who's online list? Could someone please help me. =] |

Not as if its any of my business, but why would you want to? :/
It would make the whole "Statistics" purpose invalid? |

I just want this for one user, a user which can just be coded in, not even a real user.

You could go into the FORUMHOME template, find where it lists the users, and before it, add
Code:
<a href="LinkToUserProfile">Username</a>, |

I have tried that, though it won't show-up on how many users are online and it wouldn't show up in /online.php

Then add it to the online list also (You'll need to grab the html from your online.php page and add it into the template). And you can just add 1 to the user totals.
The other option is to create a cron job that just keeps that user 'active'. (I guess, I've never tried anything like this.) (I could have sworn there was a mod kinda like this - Fake Users. Why not check it out?) |
