I have this problem on my board where new members will post their YouTube channels. How can I prevent newly-registered users from posting any links at all?

Firstly, you should state that as a rule you need x posts to submit any links. Then rename your registered users group to something like new users and create a new usergroup called members or similar.

Set it up so that when new users have x posts they will be auto promoted to a member.

Set new users "Allow Link BB Code" to no. There must be a better solution that this but thats all I have for now.

What version of vBulletin are you running and I'll see if I can find a mod for you.
