Expression Engine
Drupal

When not coding from scratch, I pretty much use these two strictly.. Anything else seems to just be too much of a hassle.. Yes, including Wordpress.

Expression Engine is probably the most similar to vB's set up out of the two though.. Just cause of user management and control. Drupal takes a lot of third party modules to achieve most desired sites, and it is both frustrating and confusing.. Even to veterans like myself.

I will in just a few days.

The default templates that come with it can't really justify it. With EE, pretty much anything you can do with html, you can easily make it dynamic. There's some basic learning behind it, like how to do conditionals, and loops, etc.

To explain it best, EE pretty much just gives you data.. All you really have is data, and it's then up to YOU on how to display the data. I love it, it's extremely flexible, though having a strong understanding of HTML is pretty much mandatory..

It's not really an "out of the box" CMS, that's for sure.
