Hi,

Let's say i post on the forum and my post is number 56.
(http://www.mysite.com/showthread.php?p=56#post56)

If i were to delete it, and post another message, it will be post57. How do i fix such that it will be in sequence and consistent?

You can't (unless you go modify the database every single time a post is deleted). The post number goes up incrementally no matter if any posts are deleted.

will it have any effects to the database? I will not be clean then..

It has no effect on the database to have missing post numbers. It was made to be this way.
