I have been swamped the last few days with new registrations from russia. Most all of them are spamming my site. How can I go about blocking ip's from russia from registering? Or maybe even block them all from even being able to see my site?
And NO I don't want to order no dang viagra ![]() Those russians must be stocked up. |

You can try the timezone mod.

Just add IP addresses from each country from the URL above and put them into the vBulletin IP ban filter, or you could put them in a .htaccess and just restrict them from register.php just in case some of the IPs are not Russian

Hey Gary - you'll find the .htaccess file in your file manager (in your cpanel or whatever) - make sure you check the box for show hiden files when you go in there - then you should see it

Hi,
For same reason, I banned all IPs from Taiwan, now one of the US members moved to Taiwan and asked us to lift the ban. I tried to add a "allow IP address" line in htaccess file but doesn't work. And other way to lift ban for this IP address? Thanks in advance. Michelle |
