That is a hell of a discussion we can get into with that question.

Its a matter of personal taste and skill level

A exsample of a top ten list

But those lists are again often based on personal taste and opinion of a product

Personally i prefer vBadvanced if working with vbulletin
or Joomla for alternative sites. but there are such a large market for free cms systems.

i suggest download them all, run a test server on your computer and try them one at a time

easy personal test server is Xampp
Download, install, click run, and your done..

its really down to "what do you feel good working with!!"

cause they are EXTREMELY different in how they work and appear to be working.
if you have the time, test them out. and find one you can work with.
