Yea! I am pleased to be informed by Jake Bunce from the vbulletin Team that I am able to achieve the look I want on the main page of my forum. He wrote me today: "Both of those things are possible but there is no built in feature to do that. Custom code is required. If you have some coding ability then you can post on www.vbulletin.org for help with this." Presently I own 3dmypage.com and Liplies.com (under construction). For one year 3DMyPage is up and running. I am experimenting with vbulletin on that site before I buy another license for Liplies.com. The picture below (click for larger view) is the look I desire, however I need help achieving this look. I code a little in php and I am not afraid to alter the files required, however I need to know what files control the blocks (cells): Forum Members List Recently Updated Albums Random Groups Forum Body (Including everything you see on the fresh installed forum's main page minus the Nav Bar and Header, which should span the entire page width) I would like any user (registered or not) to be able to see these items on the main page only. Once they click out of the main page, the rest of the forum’s format is fine. I found Developer Tools (looks good) in the manual http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html. 1. Is there an online manual or guide that will help me I identify the files controlling blocks (cells)? 2. Is there any mod's that allready do this? Click for larger view . |
