Exclude Forums in Similar Threads

How can we exclude special forums in 'Similar Threads'. I need to avoid some of my private forum's title being displayed there.

I just did one thing. Just turned off that Automatic similar thread search for some time & put it on once again. if we do this it will initialize once again & not search in Private sections, b'coz I excluded search index from private sections.

Does this fix is enough ?? Any other method ??

Threads in private forums should only show up to other users who have access to the private forums. Did you trying verifying that by logging in as a test user without access to the private forums and seeing if private forum threads showed up?

I notice there is a hook located at search_similarthreads_fulltext which you can probably use to add to the query if you want.
