Photo Embed in Post - Mod?

Is there a mod which anyone knows about which can work on 3.6.1 which will allow for you to upload and embed your image directly in your post

Instead it either has to be an attachment or pasted in with tags.
Please advise

Just attach them and use the little paperclip to put them in the post where you want them. Isn't the paperclip there for 3.6.1?

Ok, I might be missing something.
I click the paper clip.
Then i can upload an image or add a url.

I can successfully upload an image.... but when i click on the image link (once it has been uploaded) it does not place the image in the message body only opens it in a new window... so I can copy the URL and then use the image tag.

There has to be an easier way? is there?

First you Manage Attachments and upload the images. Then, you go to your post and find the place you want to insert the image and click on the paperclip and select the image from the list of attachments you uploaded. Then you submit the post.

I have seen some forum where the user can see the imaged placed in the editor.. without tags.. they can then manipulate size.. etc..

is this possible here? Have you ever seen this?

I have not seen it, but then I have never gone out of my way to look for one. You can try searching - I'd search "all mods" "titles only" to get the best results.
