Database backups.
Hoping someone here can help me out here with a big problem. If you know alot about VB, please take the time to read over this and see if you cant help me out here.
Problem: First, I run a website where all threads are important. Second, the problem is alot of very old threads were deleted by a new moderator on my forums. Now, like I said before, they were important to the content of the website. I have a database backup I saved earlier this month. My question is simple...is there anyway I can restore my forums, mainly the threads, that were deleted using the backups? I have the backup that saves to the hosting server. If so, how... I see no option for any type of restore in the cp. Thank you for any input you may have. |

1. Setup the old db in a test forum.
2. Find all the posts you want (the ones the moderator deleted). 3. Delete everything else. 4. Use impex and import the old posts into the live site (Backup before importing into the live db). |
