there is a spell checker built in
not sure what we are looking at with your link, but there are stat mods as well that will show the last X post/threads as well

Last post feature opens post to see straight away, lat post ifrst , stacked on top of each other.

Its a defacto necessary feature for arts forums and VB does not have the feature, i need to find an add on for it, quick time or go proboards.
