downgrade for compatibility with plugin (temporary)
Is it possible to downgrade vbulletin (from vb3.7.3pl1) to a lower 3.6.0 - in order to enforce compatibility with an old plugin which no longer works.
My intention is to downgrade for a day or two which would (hopefully) be compatible with an old plugin I used. Currently, this plugin is incompatible and all the data (articles by members) is now inaccessible - effectively lost work. What I'd like to do is enable comptaibility long enough for me to copy & paste all their work, re-upgrade to 3.7.3 and then these articles could be placed in the member's blog entries instead. |

The only way to "downgrade" is to restore a backup from before the upgrade.
You should always setup a test site to perform major upgrades and make sure plugins continue to work. Which plugin is it, and maybe we can help you fix it faster |

It seems to me the articles should still be in the db so they should be recoverable. If not, downgrading won't recover them anyway.
If there's a whole lot of them, I think it would be easier to just install a fresh old vb long enough to recover them. |
