This is similar to the [item] mod for WoW that is out there but this site posted theirs in a manner that requires file edits.

Now I know this can be packaged so that it doesnt, but I have no idea how to leverage the plugin system to accomplish this. (sorry i'm an old school file editor)

Can anyone help me out converting this link into some type of plugin?

So totally the wrong place for this question, but I do have one in the works and probably will have it available next weekend.

I'm trying to figure out how i could easily and logicly support both warcraft and warhammer in the same [item] tag.

I would image that many guilds will be playing both games quite often
