Limiting moderators permissions.
how can I set permissions so that they cant ban users? had a little issue, I dont want them to be able to ban users, but I do need them to be able to do everything else. thanks.

Hi, pehaps you could set up a new usergroup for your moderators but then i thought they wouldn't be able to access the mod cp, I suppose you could just tell them don't ban, would they listen to you??
Final thought would probably be ask for a mod to enable this function? I'm sure it would be useful to others in the same position :-) |

On my site I have it setup that if a Mod bans someone, it only lasts for a few days. This way if they ban them, I can either reverse it if I see fit, leave it, or make it permanent.
In my opinion, if you have people banning someone after you told them not to ban someone, I would remove them from your mod staff. |

Why not have a look at the modcp templates and just remove the ban link? Not sure if it'll work as I've never tried it but just a thought....
