Changing banner by per forum
I run a gaming portal. I'd like to be able to customise the forum banner depending on the area the user is browsing. Example:
game1.domain.com (game 1 banner) game2.domain.com (game 2 banner) Both currently reside in the webroot directory, i.e., same install files / database etc On the other hand, would it be possible to create seperate forum installs with the same database? (I want to share user dbs etc). game1.domain.com -> <webroot>/game1 game2.domain.com -> <webroot>/game2 Or is there a much easier solution I just dont know about? :erm: |

a) You can use an if conditional in the header template to change the banner according to the forum.
b) You will need a license for each install... this might help if you tried parking one domain on top of the other. Not sure how that would work if they are subdomains. Different Domain, Different Style (for 3.7) |
