Is this maintainence normal?
Ever since I began updating the VB versions, I am having a hard time finding styles that work. I notice images missing, duplicate links, etc.
I'm very OCD, and I'm always afraid to fix them myself. Do you ladies and gentlemen ever have to fix things yourself when it comes to updating VB versions? I apologize for the stupid question. I think VB is awesome, but I am having alot of trouble just..settling in. I can't seem to get things working perfectly. Some styles screw the cookies up, some styles don't work with newer versions, etc etc. But I suppose that this is normal? As long as the FTP files are intact..is it okay to get dirty? |

The 'FTP files' are the bits that are not important, you can always replace them with a fresh copy from vBulletin. The Database is where all your stuff is, you need to keep backups of this!
Obviously you are going to get problems especially when installing modifications, however your license will allow you to set up a test board (password protected from public). Use that board to test everything out before you put it on your main board. |
