question related to post content showing up in email notifications
I was wondering if there is a setting that I can change so that the content of a post on my board doesn't show up in email notifications?

Just edit the 'notify' phrase in the Email Body phrasegroup. Remove "$pagetext" from the text.

AdminCP->Languages and Phrases-> Phrase Manager.
From the drop down menu for Phrase Type select 'Email Body Text', on the second page of phrases there should be one called 'notify'. Thats the one your looking to edit. |

I know this thread is older but I need to take this solution one step further.
Instead of removing the code that includes the thread content... how can I code it so the thread content will only be emailed to select user groups IDs? So I need to leave in: Code:
Here is the message that has just been posted: *************** $pagetext *************** THANKS FOR THE HELP!... I hope this thread is still alive... |
