help about forum permissions
hi i need help about the permission of the primary/secondary usergroups i really going mad about this ...
i've created a UG called 'staff' based onto the default permissions of Registered Users UG, also i gave to this group the 'public and joinable' option with a coupe of UG leaders that must accept the new request to join this group ... i selected the 'forum permissions' (in the ACP) for a specific forum called 'board staff' and i give to this new UG (staff) the default rights, so the can view and post into this hidden forum when they have joined the new UG ... and now comes the 'issue' ... IF a user that hasn't activated his account by e-mail so he is into the UAEC UG (Users Awaiting Email Confirm) goes into his UCP and makes a request to joint my Staff Group and someone accept his request he can view and post without any deny into my forums ... obviously the UAEC permissions are settled to only can view the forum so they cannot post/view anything into my forums but if they join my 'Staff' group they bypass all the permissions about the UAEC UG ... how i can fix this? pls help thx |

There is nothing to fix, this is how it works.
If you allow them to join the usergroup, then they will get the permissions set for that usergroup. |
