Group Memberships?
I saw another site with a place called "Group Memberships" under the USER CP or the Networking section.. I'm curious as to how they set that up as there has to be a VB Hack for it ..anyone point me in the right direction to set this up?
Thanks |

It's just allowing a usergroup to be able to be publicly joined.

There is no place to edit that area for the groups when you make them. |

set a usergroup leader in the usergroup manager. the usergroup leader then moderates the requests to join in their usercp. a usergroup leader can be anyone and is not a moderator.

I guess I don't see a place to set someone as a "usergroup leader" in the usergroup manager or if I choose to Edit that group I don't see anything about a leader???

it's in the drop down menu for public joinable usergroups.

I have nothing that says "Public Joinable Usergroups" Nowhere on the left side menus in the admincp can I see anything like this.
I must be either missing it or its just not there for some reason. |

ok listen
when you create a usergroup there will be a category called Public group settings. In that category there is an option called (Joinable) Custom Usergroups. Click yes on that box and then go to admincp>usergroups>Usergroup manager>Go down to the public group and on the right you will see a drop down box. Choose it there. |

Another question with this.. one a user is in that group and they are showing up as a specified color of that group under the "current users online" area.. I've seen a few sites if you run the mouse over their name it brings up the little prompt of what it stands for or the group name for example..how do I set the mouse over part? |

Add title="some text" to the opening html markup for the usergroup within the existing span tag. If you don't have a span tag (you really need to start using them!) you should use <span title="some text"> as the opening tag and </span> as the closing tag.
