Invisibility
Do you allow your users to be invisible or not?
I've generally been against the option but don't know, don't care really. Just curious what others do. |

No, I don't allow my users to be invisible. I do, however, allow myself and my mods to be invisible and many times we are.

I allow invisibility... to me it isn't such a big deal if they don't want themselves seen - I give them their space for privacy if they want... I was in another board before which didn't allow invisibility, and one of my friends who also visited that board will just log off and view the forum as a "guest", so that they won't see her in "users online" when she views the new topics...
Call it a weird eccentricity, but some people just don't wanna be seen, I guess - T |

I allow it, I don't use it myself but I know people do.

No, I really don't see the point in it. I also don't think mods/admins should have the choice either, as it just makes your forums seem deserted.

I only allow Admins. No one else needs to be hiding from anyone.

I hate that feature.
I don't run any big forums, so I like everyone who is active to be visible. I allow my super mod to use it sometimes since she gets mad and quits if she can't use it. -Raymond |

I had a SuperMod just like that. Notice I said "had".

I don't see how being invisible can hamper the productivity of a user - so I wouldn't ever consider disabling it.
