Stopping new members from posting URLs

I noticed on another site someone having a feature that stops users with less than 4 posts from posting URLs giving an error:

You are only allowed to post URLs to other sites after you become an Active Member and have made 4 posts or more.

Anyone know how I can implement this into my forum?

Make 2 groups...regular members would be the 0-4 posts group...set their permissions so they can't post URLS.

Also, make a group, which is an exact copy of regular members but with the ability for them post URLS.... then set it up so after 4 posts, members from the first group transition to the second group.

How do you manage a Usergroup by post count? I don't see that in the Usergroup Manager.

You go to Usergroups, then Promotions...

Promotion Type:
Promotion Strategy:
Reputation Level:
Days Registered:
Posts:

I've managed all this, now wondering how to allow/disallow posting URLs in the different Usergroups....

or you can simply just write a plugin that scrambles the URL in the postbit until the user's postcount > 4

the data you need to accomplish this is already in the postbit

Just give your admins 'one touch ban and clean'.

95% of the people that post a 1st (through 3rd) post w/ URL is spam. Easier just to have a method for removing them with one simple click

Use This it works fine on 3.6.8, should work fine on 3.7.x as well, but backup or use a test forum before isntalling on 3.7.x versions.
