vBulletin 2.3.x Style For vBulletin 3.6.8 PL2?
Hello,
A while ago, I have seen a style lying around that looked a like vBulletin 2.3.x in colors and overall design, but had all of the 3.6.x features - e.g. dropdow menus, etc. It was not calorie's style, because calorie's loses all of the new javascript functionality, but there was one that retained it. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks. |

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=123436 if it's not, if I can get my hands on a copy of 2.3.x, I'll see what I can do about it. |

That's the one I referred to when I said it loses all of the 3.6.x functionality as far as template-based interactivity goes.
See, I have an old 2.3.x board running on one of my friends' sites, and it is about time to upgrade it. However, the site is already built and designed around the vbulletin 2.3.x standard style (the site also has a whole custom area, which uses similar colors / layout patterns). So, because vb 3.6.x has different color scheme, it would not be compatible with the custom area... And that is the only thing preventing the upgrade. The main point of such upgrade, however, would be to gain the new features 3.6.x has to offer, so upgrading just to lose a great portion of them that comes from templates makes little sense... So, what I was looking for is a style that has exactly ALL of the 3.6.x features, but rearranged / altered in such a way as to most closely recreate the 2.3.x look & feel. And I would also have like it to remain XHTML / CSS valid... If you can do something like that, that would be great indeed. |
