Code for moving login box help please?

Hello to all,

I see many forums that have a side box with the login forms there. I was wondering if this is a special coding sequence or how to make this effect?

I am not sure if I make a box in photoshop and add in a form in dreamweaver and then for the submit or go button, link it to login.php?

Here is the peace of code that i use on my portal site.. it?s a custom made template
and has the login in box on it. and also if the user is alreay logged in . it shows the psstats
