Is there a way I can add the vB 3.7 comment system to an old vB version?
I would like to add the comments system to an old vB version (3.6.8). Do you think is this possible? Can you help me?

Possible, as 3.7 is essentially built on top of 3.6, but would not be recommended (and would probably be very hard to do).

the best thing would simply be to upgrade your forum, as a backup... so if the action is not melting your forum, you're ok...

Mhh, do you mean backing up my DB, then trying to do that modification? Hey, this is sure. |

Compare the 3.6 & 3.7 sources and database layout and reverse engineer the vB 3.6 version.

Yup. Like Nex said, upgrade to 3.7.
Seriously, unless you have a fair amount of vB coding experience and a week or so to dedicate to this, it really would be easier to just upgrade to 3.7! What is stopping you upgrading? Apart from 3.7 still being in Beta, of course. -- hugh |
