Is anyone in the works on this kind of project?
I want to be able to one copy of vBulletin running many home pages. Basically each home page should have it's own News section, etc.. Based on that forum I would like to be able to either do one of the following options : 1) Have one main entry point, i.e. www.josh.com and from there they can select one of many sites. Once they've gone to a site and registered it sets their cookie appropriately. 2) Have many domains point to different vBulletin home pages. They would all be on the same file system just different virtual setups. i.e. www.josh.com points to one vbUlleting (phpportal) home page and www.josh2.com points to another one. Does this make sense? Thanks for the help, Josh |

maybe you can just make more than one installation for phportal. and make some changes to the file names

I'm not sure I know what you mean.. PHPPOrtal is done through changes in the files, how would one go about making multiple installations?
I was more looking for an idea where you could designate multiple home pages and have certain news forums devoted to one page and another set of forums devoted to another page. I could always set up two different copies of vBulletin, but I don't really feel like spending another $160 when the one database is not being used that much. 150 users max for each "Home Page" is probably all that it would be. Any other thoughts? THanks, Josh |

Should this be moved to the "Requests" Forum? Sorry, I never really noticed it before.
Thanks, JOsh |
