Renaming showthread.php
Hello,
I'd like to be able to rename showthread.php to debatethis.php Obviously I can just rename the file, but i need to tell the rest of vbulletin to point here. How does one accompish this? I've tried google, with no results. Thanks in advance, Jordan EDIT: I was thinking, another solution might be to use htaccess to make it appear as debatethis.php, but that's a pretty makeshift solution. |

I'd definately go with the .htaccess route. vBulletin references filenames like showthread.php everywhere, and it'd take you ages to go and change them everywhere

I agree with Dean, .htaccess is a good option, it is hardly "makeshift"
The other alternative is to create a symlink |

I would advise any of this. What the name of the script is makes no real difference. But once you start with this, you will get a lot of links posted with this new name, making it difficult to ever revert back to standard naming.
