What happens when you upgrade?
When 3.7 comes out, do you lose all of your modifications?

Some modifications not explicitly designed for 3.7 will cease to function, but I'm sure many authors will either port over their work or the modification can easily be tweaked to work properly again.
As well, any modifications which required file edits will almost certainly no longer work. |

You mean template edits?
And how about skins? |

No, I mean file edits.
Any skins you have will need to be updated to function properly with 3.7. This either means waiting for whoever developed the skin to release an updated version that's compatible with 3.7 (usually only happens when the release becomes "gold") or it'll have to be manually updated by you or another third party. |

So would you recommend waiting until all of the mods and skins I currently use to be upgraded before making the switch to 3.7? That seems like the smart thing to do, right?

Yes, I would suggest you wait until 3.7 becomes stable and your skins have been updated to work properly with it.

Okay, thank you Kirk.
