Renaming / Custom user fields
Hello,
Quick question: Need to have a user field on a number of forums (60+), and, as a lazy coder was wondering if there is a way to unify the field names across them all... Simply put: can I rename or force a name into the userfield table so that is its consistent across multiple forums. on abc1.com I set a user field, and it's auto assigned the name field1 on abc2.com I set a user field, and, since there is other info custom for the sit, it gets a name of field9 I want it to be "field99" or "display-options", for example, on multiple VB installs,. Now, I'm trying to write a little adminCP product to globally set the option of my field, named "Display Ad Info" for all users, but it's much more complicated if the field name isnt the same across all sites, and a huge pain to modify my code for 60+ forums. Can this be done? |

If you want to use userfields for this, then the answer is No.
