Messed up navbar.
I added some simple javascript for copyscape at the top of my navbar and messed up the login and quicklinks etc positions on page. The only change I made to the copyscape code was to center it on the page.
I tried reinstalling vb but nothing changed. I tried to fix problem by removing the copyscape code but navbar still was messed up. I must have overwritten something but I can't find the original navbar code anywhere to compare it with the messed up one. Any suggestions on how to get original navbar code? I had hoped that the updated templates function in admin might show it so I could compare the old/new, but alas it wasn't there. Thanks. |

The navbar doesn't appear in the "Out of Date Custom Templates" list or in the Styles and Templates "Find updated Templates" list. Those were the first I checked. There doesn't appear to be any automatic or semi-automatic way to revert the last good navbar.
I don't want to have to revert back to the original completely as I've made changes to the navbar over the years, which I can do by clicking on the Revert button in the Styles and Templates. What I'm going to try now is to copy the original code for the navbar from the Style Manager and compare it with the existing/messed up navbar code. Maybe this will indicate what I messed up. |
