Default vbLink-vBulletin/Joomla integration

I know it has just been released (Nov 6) but anyone know anything about vbLink? I'm in the process of installing Joomla as my CMS but have been hesitant until some form of integration has been developed.

I would love to hear some feedback.

Kudos to them. I tried this with Joomla 1.0.12. My server was hacked within 3 days of Joomla going up. So until the Joomla project as a whole hardens their security A LOT I'm not giving it another look.

i am trying to get this to work. i got the 1.5 joomla up and ready - i can get through the installation for the most part, except 1 thing - it's asking for my vBulletin Table Prefix.
When i first installed the vBulletin i left this blank, the whole part where it asks this in the config.php

Quote:
// ****** TABLE PREFIX ******
// Prefix that your vBulletin tables have in the database.
$config['Database']['tableprefix'] = '';
... now the after i run the config script it pops up automatically (as normally should) however the default value appears as vb_36 for my table prefix. this is preventing me from getting any further with the new released vBlink for joomla intergration.

Is there a default value if you didn't set up your table prefix upon initial installation? if so what is it? i thought it was <i>vb</i> -- if not, haha if anyone knows where to go from here i'll try it out an let you all know. Actually is there a way i can retrieve what my table prefixes would be for my vB specifically? i want to see this bridge form script in action!

anyone else try this bridge out yet?

I had joomla installed on my site. Little by little I am walking away from it. It simply cannot handle big usage. Joomla is cool for information sites, but not for communities.

Definitely vbulletin. There are enough modifications out there for it to make joomla look pale.

Sorry, I have never received your email. This problem has been fixed within 24 hours of it being brought up and has been given to anybody who emailed me about the prefix issue.

We are developing vblink under a new name JFusion. This is a universal Joomla user integration component which will support multiple forum softwares.

Cheers, Marius

P.S:

Joomla is an awesome Content Management System (CMS) and can handle large volumes of traffic.

However, there are currently no forum components for Joomla that are a match for vbulletin. This was the reason for creating this bridge: Have the advantage of using the best of both worlds (CMS and BB).

Cheers, Marius

Hey I remember that.
Poor vJoomla!

Joomla 1.5 has better security. There are also now specific SQL injection protectors .. etc.

Were you able to blame vJoomla! entire problem on Joomla ?
