Note: This is an updated & enhanced version of my original 'Autoplay Media Files Inline' hack. As with all my publicly available vB add-ons it is being released under the CinVin branding. This is being released as an RC version so please provide any feedback or suggestions you may have so I can make improvements.
Description
Play media files (audio, video) inline when viewed in PhotoPost vBGallery instead of having to download first.
Supports most popular media players such as Windows Media Player, Quicktime, and Real Player. Also includes a method for playing flash video FLV files and even embedding YouTube videos!
Features
This hack will play media files inline within your PhotoPost vBGallery instead of your visitor first having to download the file to their local PC. Some benefits of doing this are to (a) allow media files to be used as eCards which come out really nice looking and also to (b) make it a little bit harder for people to download your media files (will slow them down but not stop them) which hopefully means that a link to your site is what ends up being distributed instead of the actual media file itself.
Supports Windows Media Player, Flash, Adobe Acrobat, Real Audio Player, and Quicktime.
Supports embedded YouTube videos! By uploading a preview image with a specified prefix then the corresponding YouTube video will displayed embedded.
Supports up two two custom audio/video players. That allows you to add your own players without having to touch any PHP code.
Custom Audio/Video Player #1 comes pre-configured for playing Flash Video (FLV) files and MP3 files!
Completely template based so you can easily change the media player code.
ACP based settings allow you to easily turn on & off which media types you want to view inline, change media player file associations, and whether a download link should be shown to your visitors.
If your PHP installation supports recognizing file sizes of SWF & other file types then the media will be displayed proportionally to the actual size of the media. If your PHP installation does not recognize the media file sizes then the media will be displayed based upon the height & width settings in your vBGallery Filetypes maintenance screen. If you do not have a height & width specified in your vBGallery Filetypes maintenance screen then you can specify a default height & width for displaying the inline media.
Additional Info
The Flash video player that is pre-configured for playing FLV and MP3 files is from Jeroen Wijering. It is a CCL application and you can obtain the source file and more information about the player by visiting Jeroen's site.

No, sorry... this hack is specifically for vBGallery. If you search the forums though there are few different embedded media hacks for playing media in posts.

Is there any way in the world you can get this to work in profiles would be amazing been looking for something for so long where users can have music playing in there profile.

Any random music found in the gallery or only music that the user has uploaded? I'm always on the lookout for new ideas to play with so if you can narrow down the idea you have in mind I'll give it a thought at least.
EDIT: Thinking out loud for a moment... the current version of vBGallery has an add-on for displaying images that the user has upload in their profile screen. I don't think it'd take much effort to essentially duplicate that code but only select audio files and then to randomly select one and play it on their profile page. Before I touch any code though, let me know what you were envisioning.
