forum closed for posting sub forum mod
Sometimes you create a forum, then you may have some sub forums attached to that forum. You close the main forum, so they will post only in the sub forums.
Today it just appeared to me that this can be confusing when the member sees this "There are no posts in this forum." When in actual fact, there are 1000's of threads and posts in that section, just not in that forum, and this can lead to confusion. What I am hoping for is, if someone can make a mod, that will recognize this, and when a forum is closed for posting, and it has subforums, it will remove everything but the sub forums. Example may be better shown through an image, so I have attached an image. I think this could benefit everyone, so I am seeing what others think as well. Thanks. |

Why not jsut make it a Category? (Act As Forum: No)

Because that would just make the section look really out of place. example take a look at the before and after pic attached.
Thanks for the suggestion tho, but that unfortunately wont do the trick in this case. I think the mod I am talking about will be the best solution still. Anyone willing to make it, I am sure it could benefit many people. |

Sounds useful. Maybe I'll get a chance to take a look at it when I'm done with another mod I'm working on.
