Paid Mods forum
I'm tired of seeing "lite" versions of paid mods in the mods forums.
Please create a "Paid Mods" forum where coders can create a thread to advertise their paid mod. This would create a useful database of paid mods in one place for everyone to use, as well as save the coder of making a crippled "lite" version just so he can advertise on vB.org. Simple rules - One thread per mod - Mod title on thread title Same as the mods forum, but with a website link to make the purchase. I for one would follow with great interest such a forum to see what products are displayed there. Also, it should use thread prefixes like the mods forums has. |

I don't imagine that this would get rid of lite versions, personally.

was discussed over and over...
i don't think it would come up... and now, with Jelsoft sold, you will have to deal with a bigger player for this kind of content. |

vb.org is primarily a place for free modifications.
However, the subject of paid mods has come up many times and we have discussed plans internally for a directory of commercial mods - it's not likely in the immediate future but I expect it will happen eventually. |

This looks like a pretty good idea, seeing how no paid mods without Lite versions currently cannot be posted here, and that people can finally find some mods (that cost) without having to look long and hard through search engine results.
Although I am worried about losing the Lite versions, as I have just installed the Lite version of VB Shout, and it's pretty good. |

If any lite version is created in my mind, it's released so that users who can't buy a paid version will use it, but it has the bare minimum of features.
If I make a "Pro" mod, I always make a lite version. So an advertising forum wouldn't do much good for me to stop making "lite" versions. |
