Im moving server in a day or 2 and need help badly

basically my old host ar unreliable to say the least, they wont allow telnet so i cant telnet in to get the database like the vbulletin manual suggests

so what can i do? its a relativly small site with over 400 members and 8000posts. BUT i do need to save absolutely everything in the database as theres custom styles and a custom gaming league system with alot of scores and teams on the database.

what would be my best way to move the site? phpmyadmin? if so how ?

vBulletin provides a method to backup your database in the AdminCP under the Maintenance section. If you run that, it will create a restore file that you can run on your new server to recreate the database and all of your data.

Google MySQL Dumper and use it. Both, to take a backup and also to restore it. If you have different MySQL versions on the old / new host, phpmyadmin will spit out errors during the restore. MySQL Dumper will restore the DB with virtually no complaints.
