Has anyone integrated SSL Encryption into their VB registration process?

I know this is an old thread, but I would be very interested to learn how Roms managed to create both SSL as non-SSL browsing on his forum. Could you please elaborate on this?

You need to buy a certificate from your whoever you have your domain name through. Then you need your own IP address and have your hosting service add the SSL for you (any decent one will...). Then you just go through and edit the links on your site to have some of them be HTTPS...
Hope that helps, its been a long time since I set this up. and I've never renewed my cert (but who cares huh! LOL) |

Yes, I have a certificate. But have both SSL as non-SSL content throws up quite a few problems. Full urls with http in it, then there is $vbulletin->options['bburl'] and images, avatars and all those files.
