Showing off my NFL Site: GridironFans.com (now complete!)
GridironFans.com: 100% Uncensored Football Forums
This is my NFL football site. We pride ourselves in being a uncensored forum that allows our members to express themselves in any way they want without having to worry about being banned. One of the features that helps this is our "Fight Club" forum which allows people to partake in flame wars. This forum gives them a place to do so instead of all over the forum, lets only the people interested in the war read it and lets members feel like they have freedom to express themselves how they want. We also pride ourselves in keeping our members up to date with all the latest news and rumors from around the NFL. We have a staff of 9 members who are constantly scouring for and posting news. We also recently installed the vBogetin hack and are on our way to our goal of eventually having a blog for all 32 NFL teams. I edited the vBadvanced modules some so they would show the post icons in a separate table and more organized. I am also using the Frontpage Slideshow hack by Lionel. Here is a list of other mods I am using on my site:

I also forgot to mention that my site used to run on phpBB since it first opened in July 2004. We have gone from some real scary designs:
The ORIGINAL GridironFans.....scary! And went through a nightmare with with IntegraMod portal for phpBB. (If anyone ever suggests IntegraMod, just run....don't look back). Eventually we went back to a stock phpBB board with a custom wordpress-style front page. The front page was great, but the forum was a mess thanks to the sloppy code. I finally decided to jump in and get vBulletin recently and have not looked back. I am amazed at how easy it is to work (outside of the permissions which I am still trying to learn, you need to set a permission for everything it seems) and I guess I am also battle tested from dealing with phpbb for years. This new site is my first effort with vBulletin and I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Thank you for the review! |

not bad something we can talk smack about a players....i like the lay out but i'm using FF and saw that its spread to wide...if i were you write small a disclaimer at the footer of the page about all logos used on that forum is the property of nfl you are not associated with nfl in anyway what so ever..Sometrhing to that effect. they won't have a problem with it as long as you are not profiting from there log0s. I had to do that for my mobile forum when i was using the nextel logos .
hope that helps:up: by the way E.A.G.L.E.S ...eagles rule...lmao |

I like it!
To the logos question...at the VERY least they're going to have an issue with you using the NFL logo inside of your official logo. That gives the perception that you're officially associated with the NFL. I'm not a lawyer so take that for what it's worth, but I'd be willing to bet that would be a problem. |

I run an NFL team fansite, and the rule of thumb we have to follow is 'no logos or player images in our headers'. Everything else is fair game. They will usually give you a warning if there's a problem, so I'd keep them until they make you change them.
