allow members to avoid seeing posts from other members
i was looking for some mod which would let the members on the forum block/avoid seeing posts from selected members.
i remember seeing such a mod but could not find it on the mod section... any recommendations? |

This was on the vbulletin board and so I can not take credit. Although the original say help desk this can do what you want as well.
Help Desk for vBulletin Forums - How to I tried a few hacks from vB.org for this but end up doing my own... well, it isn't even a hack really, just use of the existing vB features. I thought I'd post this here in case users have not though of this in the past. - Create a new forum called "Help Desk". - In the settings make it so admin (and mod if you wish) can see all posts in there. - Change users permissions to only view threads started by them. Easy. Now you have a forum which to users only shows support questions they have asked. Staff see everything. Just close each thread when the support issue is resolved. I've been using this on my forums for a while now and it is proving very successful, much more so than the hacks on vb.org, plus I don't have to worry about vb updates braking it! |

umm not exactly what i want.
i have some feed agents on the forum and members want to avoid seeing the rss feeds of the blog which runs along with the forum... |
