I'd like a hack that can integrate the security from MaxMind.com into our registration system, and possibly into posting features.

This way we get such info on every registration and every post. This could possibly be built in the same hack as I requested here https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=148271

Any signups that fail to match on certain info would be put into moderation queue. This of course means such info as state, city, zip, and phone (not street address) would have to be collected. From that, MaxMind could tell us if the person is a possible fraud or not.

We have used MaxMind in our hosting signups, and it brought fraud down to zero. For example, they would give the U.S. address for a credit card which would be correct and not reported stolen, but then it would tell us all about their GeoLocation and their ISP.... which is usually out of Nigeria or something... and they are flagged. They also maintain a list of email addresses that are known as used in previous fraud signups. So if someone gives us a certain location, and their isp & geo location says different, they are flagged... or if their email is flagged. Etc, etc.

MaxMind has API's they freely release for use in other programs to integrate with their services. This wont be your average hack. You would want to charge for software like this if you build it and support it for vB. They also have another service I'm sure you have seen before. The person puts in a phone number, the system calls them, and gives them a code they must use in the signup form. This verifies their phone number.

Hopefully someone here is up to the challenge.
