Upload Progress Bar?
Anyone know of a mod that will show the progress of an item being uploaded as an attachment? Members of my site will be uploading files around 200mb large and I fear they will give up on the upload if they do not see any type of progress.
Anyone know of anything that suits what I'm looking for? Thanks |

Moved.
Please check what forum you are posting in, this is a question, not a release. |

You do know that PHP does not natively support upload tracking, unless you recompile it with custom tweaks and code. A workaround would be to use CGI, which I've done before, to handle the upload requests. But switching to CGI would require a huge amount of core file editing.

Or you could use Flash?

Which would still require a huge amount of core file editing.

I'm pretty sure its not a huge amount of core editing.... Plus, CGI is more flexible then flash, i think. The only bad thing is CGI is slower uploading then PHP when you have a progressbar. You could use an external uploading script, and make it intergrated within vbulletin..

Or even better just have a little image that looks like it is continuously uploading ^^ similar to what MS does.

Well, that's just a simple template edit .
