I had a professional looking light template, but the community liked the darker style

Personally I believe that style is just average.. The sad thing is it has great potential..

After dabbling with the style options look at the difference I made..

(Click on it to view it properly.. the vB image resizer makes it look strange)

Look at the style options and try to get the tables and other settings to make the style nicer and easier to use..

I would add a new post button like I did.. I even uploaded it for you -

I would choose a portal style that matches the one on your forum and maybe new buttons on the portal as they are abit 'paint' looking

Distance

Apart from the forum style it looks like a nice forum with potential..

I'm not sure what you mean by the style options and tables and what not.

Also, what do you mean by adding a new post button? do you mean instead of the "post reply button?"

And i only know how to write in html, hence my childish looking home page, when i get more friendly with php, i will do a portal page, thank you for the criticism.

This is not criticism. Its a review of your site, an honest one.

On your admincp -> Styles & Templates -> Style Manager

Then on your style select all style options from the list..

From there you can have a play around with the tables.

About the new posts button.. Look at that screenshot I posted above, it has a newposts button.. In the header

You might not be able to do the above without some knowledge of vBulletin however finding a new portal would be pretty simple, there is no need to write your own

Um, your main site is white and you just jump into black?
Bad idea. Either make your forum white too or turn the front page black too.

Good looking skin, I'm a sucker for dark sites. Your tables get thrown a bit out of whack on large resolutions though. (see attached).

You should install vBAdvanced at once though. The dark logo on your forums is 1000% better looking than the one on your current front end, and the fact that your forums spawn in a new window is kind of obnoxious. VBA would use your current skin, make your site look uniform and it really only takes about an hour to setup and configure to your liking. Plus, since it's built with content for your site, it'll do wonders for your SEO and engine ranking.

Nice site all around though man, well done.
