What database tables are updated when adding a user?

We are using an external script to auto-register users into VB.

We are able to get them into the user table, and they can successfuly
log in to vb, but we are getting some quirky behavior. For instance, you can find the user in the memberslist, but when you search for the user in the vb admin you get the user info page with none of the details filled in.
The user also doesn't show up in the usergroup they were added to, even though the user table in the database shows them to have the usergroup assigned.

Also, they aren't shown in the "newest user to join" at the bottom of
the page. When they post their post count is always shown as "n/a".

So we suspect there is some other tables that we must update for this to work properly.
Please assist.


PS you can see the problem in the thread below. Look at the users "abcguy" and "icebergy", their usernames look different, there post counts are "n/a"
etc.
