Video Game Review or Content Management
Good morning all. I would just like to get some feedback on my next project I'm working on. Now the next mod I plan to release is a review script for video games, a port over of one of my older script that hasn't been released to the public (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=112092). Check the link for screenshots. Started porting it for 3.5 and then just got lost due to lack of interest. Now the question I have for everyone is what would you would like to see released. Right now its just a review script but I did get the idea of releasing a whole video game content management system. The system would have the review option, as well articles, previews, cheats, front page portal, games collection list, etc. Mind you the scale of the 2nd one would most likly end up being a script for purchase after beta, but who knows lol. Anyway feedback would be great as well any features and ideas you might like to see.
Here is an example of a content system like the one I had in mind but use vb as a backend. This one is a good start but has to many bugs I heard so I want ot make my own: http://www.vgportal.com/ Also if you guyss have any feature ideas please do post that as well. |

Well I had requested a game cms a few months back, but with not much feedback.
I have a license to vgportal, but that is seriously bugged and not supported. I then found a new game cms which had come onto the market called customcms which now makes gaming cms, sports cms, and a few others i think. This was originally a complete package which contains its own forums, and other things. however because I needed it integrated into vbulletin, it has taken me a little while to get the most out of it, but it is getting there. if you want to see it in use, it is www.gamerzneeds.net however once I have finished upgrading it next week, and doing a few other things to it, I will then be getting a custom design made for it as well. There is a market out there for a gaming cms that is fully integrated into vbulletin, which can have its skins integrated into vbulletin, and also have all the features of a really good cms. If you were to do this successfully, and have an importer to import my data from my current cms, I would switch over no questions asked. Thanks. |

I've replied to your pm, but installing vgportal again would probably be useless, if you are no longer licensed, I could just give you my account on vgportal, or send you the script, as I will no longer be using it.

I'll have to go with content management system 'cause I haven't seen one around besides vBA so yeah. I'd be happy to donate as well.
