Vboard Operation Question
I want to purchase 3-4 Vboard lisences, but have some specific operational needs before I do.
1) Does Vboard allow me to assign a user admin status, but have a setting where they would only be able to create board/sub categoreies (in the admin control panel) under a main category that I specific (think sub-communites). Could they also assign mods to forums in this area? 2) I'm employing Joomla CMS, and like the Vboard integration. I know that there is a mod/hack which allows for multiple board to share users. Would I be able to use this mod/hack along with the joomla bridge to share users of multiple boards with joomla? |

1) The admin panel will allow you to restrict administrative access to every section of the Admin Control Panel; However if you restrict them to the Forum Manager they would have permission to edit, add, delete or add moderators to any section
2) This may be a breach of the licence terms; You would be best asking at vBulletin.com about the licence implications of this as I am not able to give you a definitive answer... Chris |

They probably referred you over here so as to find out if it is achievable; As far as I am aware, it could be done...
However as far as the licencing issue goes, only vBulletin staff will know that From my belief, that is correct that you will need multiple licences; I could be wrong which is why I am unsure of the licencing aspect Chris |

If you wish to run multiple installations on a single database, you still are required to have a valid license for each instance of vBulletin you install and use. Whether you make use of single-database integration or using a unique database for each install does not matter.
Licensing is per instance, so if you run 3 instances, you're required to have 3 valid licenses. |
