Default Display Member, Post, Thread Count on non-vb page.

Hi there,

Per my topic, is there any current sample tutorial / code samples i could use to make this happen?

I'm running my portal on joomla, so i was thinking of pulling out some variables to display on my index page (non vb).

Display Member, Post, Thread Count, Users online etc.

I appreciate the help! (searched about a few hundred times and i couldn't find one.

Depends how technial one is, how you go about it.

The easiest way would be just to pull the variables out of the database with Queries to the database. Or, at least it would be easiest for myself as I have more experiance dealing with the databases through PHP directly rather than through the vb system.

This Post shows the beginnings of how to do that, although you do need to know how the database is organised.

The Deluxe vB User login and access control on non vB pages by Billspaintball does this, so you can go though the php file and see how it's done, and poke and prod it to learn what does what, and what just breaks things.

If you haven't yet, it's a great idea to pick up at least a few basic PHP codeing skills. It makes life a lot simpler when you can change the little things, even if you can't tackle the big projects.
